Morning light through a renovated Sydney home

The house you have,
made the house you wanted.

Whole-home renovation

Not a facelift. A reckoning.

Most of the houses we work on were built for a different way of living — small rooms, dark middles, the good light wasted on a laundry. A whole-home renovation reorganises the plan around how the house is actually used, then rebuilds the fabric to current standards. Structure, services, joinery and finishes under one contract, one crew and one number.

01

Reorganise the plan

Walls come out, the middle opens up, and the living spaces move to where the northern light actually is.

02

Rebuild the fabric

Structure, roofing, waterproofing, wiring, plumbing, insulation and glazing — the parts nobody photographs and everybody feels.

03

Finish it properly

Joinery, stone, tiling and hardware set out and detailed to the standard the street expects.

What we build

Six kinds of work.

Most projects are a combination. Select one to see where it lands on a house — and where it sits in a whole-home program.

Questions

The ones everyone asks.

If yours isn't here, ask it on the phone — you'll get a straight answer rather than a brochure.

How long does a whole-home renovation take?

Six to twelve months on site for most houses, depending on scale, structural work and whether the roof comes off. Approvals sit in front of that and vary by council — a straightforward DA runs a few months, heritage or a complying development pathway can be faster or slower.

Do we need to move out?

For a whole-home renovation, usually yes. It is faster, safer and cheaper to work in an empty house, and living through a full strip-out is harder than most people expect. Staged work is possible where a house divides cleanly.

Do we need an architect?

Not always — some projects run from a building designer's drawings, and some from ours. But for a significant reorganisation of a house, a good architect earns their fee. We work with practices across Sydney and are happy to introduce you.

Can you work from our architect's drawings?

Yes, and we prefer it. We price what is drawn, flag buildability during pricing rather than at frame stage, and keep the architect involved through construction.

What happens if something unexpected turns up?

On old houses it does — rot, termites, wiring that predates the standards. You hear about it the day we find it, with the options and what each one costs, before any work happens.

Which areas do you work in?

Sydney only: the Eastern Suburbs, North Shore, Northern Beaches, and the Hills district around Dural, Kenthurst and Glenorie.
